Schottky Barrier Diode (SBD) diode ne da aka yi ta amfani da halayen shinge na Schottky. Sunansa ya samo asali ne daga masanin kimiyyar lissafi na mota Walter H. Schottky, don girmama gudunmawar da ya bayar ga fannin fasaha na semiconductor. Schottky diodes ba su samuwa ta hanyar tsarin PN na gargajiya, amma ta hanyar haɗin gwiwar karfe-semiconductor da aka kafa ta hanyar haɗin ƙarfe da semiconductor.
